Classes

Yoga for Parents

This nurturing class is for parents of babies and toddlers, and perhaps preschoolers too. This is a place of non-judgment, where little ones are free to join in, or play, roam (or snack!) while their parent has some time for their own needs. I am here to guide the practice and also incorporate the babies and children when they feel to take part for stretches, snuggles and Oms.

The intention is to create a space where parents can ground and centre themselves while the children begin to experience the soothing of the nervous system that comes with gentle Yoga. Practices include somatic movement, simple breathwork, chanting and relaxation.

This class takes place on Wednesdays, 10.30-11.30am, at The Space in Hangleton. Call me to book your space, 07970 152046.

I hold a 200-RYT Certificate with the Yoga Alliance. My Children's Yoga Certificate is also accredited by Yoga Alliance.

Adults

My adult classes welcome every body, inclusive of all ages, ethnicities, shapes, genders and sizes. Threading together movement, stillness, breathwork, meditation and restorative relaxation, my intention is to offer a practice that deeply nourishes the mind, body and soul.

I have a heart-centred approach, encouraging students to tune into their own body wisdom by gently turning inward and developing self-awareness. I intend for my students to feel seen, held and accepted. To know they are perfect and whole just as they are. To feel welcomed as they are, with no judgment or expectations, so that together we can find the practice that works for them.

For me, Yoga has the potential to bring us to life. To light up every corner of our being. To bring us into connection with ourselves and each other, bringing healing and hope. My classes are nurturing and soft, a place to be together and explore what it is to be us, to be alive and to inhabit our bodies.

I hold a 200-RYT Certificate with the Yoga Alliance. My training is in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. My classes are gentle and fluid.

Children & Young People

Yoga supports children and Young People’s development, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

In alignment with the abilities and needs of the children, classes may include yoga postures and somatic movement, breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, visualisations, relaxation, journaling, music from around the world and sensory play.

Using a familiar rhythm and flow each week, I encourage children and teenagers to connect with themselves, each other and the world around them. We tune into our breath and emotions, and explore what it is to be fully present in our bodies.

It is a place for children and teenagers to learn more about their mind, body and spirit, and to build focus, self-esteem and confidence. In a culture that promotes competition and comparison, we celebrate compassion, empathy and kindness, to ourselves as well as to others.

I offer classes in nurseries, schools and the community. I also offer parent/carer and toddler/child classes in which adult and child practice together, with the intention of providing a joyful, relaxed space in which they can bond and be together.

My Children’s Yoga Certificate is accredited by the Yoga Alliance. I believe that the welfare of every child is paramount. Read my Safeguarding Policy here.
